The Sharper Image MSG-F110 Deep Kneading Shiatsu Foot Massager, Black<div style="text-align: justify;">All Of the foot massagers, this one is the best. The 3 spinners for each foot do a great job getting into my foot and reliving stress. While not as good as my wife's foot massages, they are good enough. After ten minutes my feet were toasty warm and tingly from the constant massage. I just rotated my foot medially or laterally to massage the sides of my feet. <br />

</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">It is a form of healing therapy, we look at the benefits of craniosacral massage and examine the benefits of it in more detail.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>What is the Craniosacral System?</b><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.bridiejane.com/userimages/massage.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://www.bridiejane.com/userimages/massage.jpg" border="0" height="167" src="http://www.bridiejane.com/userimages/massage.jpg" width="257" /></a>The Craniosacral system is a physiological system like the cardiovascular and respiratory systems and provides the physical environment in which the brain and spinal cord develop and function.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">The membranes and cerebrospinal fluid of the craniosacral system surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Craniosacral Massage therapy deals with the bones of the head, spinal column, sacrum and the underlying structures.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">This type of massage employs a very light touch and uses specifically designed techniques to release restrictions and compression in these areas.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>Craniosacral Massage – How Does it Work?</b><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Craniosacral massage taps into the inherent wisdom of the body which allows it to heal itself where possible.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">The craniosacral system has a rhythm that can be felt throughout the body. Craniosacral massage therapists use a very light, soft touch to monitor this rhythm and pinpoint sources of obstruction and stress in the body.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Once located the therapist will assist the natural movement and release of the restriction to help the body self correct.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Craniosacral massage therapy can be used to treat childhood conditions such as poor sleep, restlessness, colic and ear infections.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">It is a gentle and non-invasive therapy and can be used to treat babies while they are asleep.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>Craniosacral Massage – Is it safe for Everyone?</b><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Craniocascral massage is safe if performed for the right condition.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">As with most massage treatments there are some medical conditions that are contra indicated and craniosacral massage should not be recommended.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">These include conditions where a variation and/or slight increase in intracranial pressure would cause instability.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Acute aneurysm, cerebral hemorrhage or other pre-existing severe bleeding disorders are examples of conditions that could be affected by small intracranial pressure changes.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.3therapies.com/fotos/craniosacral1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://www.3therapies.com/fotos/craniosacral1.JPG" border="0" height="155" src="http://www.3therapies.com/fotos/craniosacral1.JPG" width="207" /></a>It is advisable to consult your medical practitioner before embarking on a course of treatment.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">The Effects Of The Craniosacral Massage<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">The human body has the ability to heal itself. The craniosacral massage is just a method that helps the body in this process.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">The craniosacral system has a rhythm that passes through the whole body. Therapists monitor this rhythm by gently touching different area. This monitoring technique helps them identify the sources of obstruction and stress in the body.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">The role of the therapist is to help the craniosacral system gain its natural rhythm again, by releasing the points of restriction.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Many illnesses can be assisted by craniosacral massage. Especially childhood ailments, like poor sleep, restlessness, colic and ear infections, may be eased through the use of this therapy.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">As it involves only gently touching, even little babies can be treated in their sleep.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Safety Conditions<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">The craniosacral massage must be made in special conditions so it can be a safe procedure.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Not everybody can use the craniosacral massage as a therapy. There are illnesses that make it contra-indicated.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Any ailment that can become worse because of even the slightest variation in the intracranial pressure may not be treated with craniosacral massage.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Illnesses in which the craniosacral massage is not recommended include acute aneurysm, cerebral hemorrhage or other pre-existing severe bleeding disorders.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Go see your doctor before following this type of therapy to find out if it is safe for you.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>The Benefits Of The Craniosacral Massage</b><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">There are many benefits of the craniosacral massage as this therapy improves the functioning of the central nervous system.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">The craniosacral massage is especially used for prevention. It can increase the resistance to some diseases and it can prevent other medical conditions like: chronic back and neck pain, headache, tension, migraine, autism, chronic fatigue, post traumatic stress disorder or emotional difficulties.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Stress related dysfunctions and other sensory disorders can also be treated through this therapy. Here is how a session goes.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">The main rule is to make yourself as comfortable as possible. The craniosacral massage sessions take place in a quiet room. The person receiving the massage remains fully clothed, but he or she may choose to wear comfortable clothes or even removing their shoes.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">The position for receiving the massage consists of reclining on the massage couch or the treatment table, so the therapist can move around the patient in order to have access to the head, the torso and the feet.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">A light organic oil can be used during the massage.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Where To Find A Qualified Therapist<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">If you want to enjoy all the benefits of a craniosacral massage, first you must find a therapist. He or she must be qualified and suitably trained.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">The craniosacral massage therapy is performed nowadays in spas, salons and healthclubs as more therapists and osteopaths are including it in their methods of treatment.<br />

</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Hot stone massage is a variation on classic massage therapy. Heated smooth, flat stones are placed on key points on the body. The massage therapist may also hold the stones and use them to massage certain areas of the body.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://z.about.com/d/spas/1/G/8/stonemassage.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://z.about.com/d/spas/1/G/8/stonemassage.jpg" border="0" height="200" src="http://z.about.com/d/spas/1/G/8/stonemassage.jpg" width="157" /></a>The use of hot stones for healing dates back to ancient times, but it wasn't until Arizona massage therapist Mary Nelson introduced her hot stone massage technique, called LaStone Therapy, that the use of hot stones for massage caught on.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Nelson conducts workshops to train other massage therapists in LaStone. While LaStone continues to be popular, massage therapists and spas have also developed their own versions of the hot stone massage using heated, smooth rocks.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Hot stone massage is a specialty massage that uses smooth, heated stones. They are often basalt, a black volcanic rock that absorbs and retains heat well, but they can be other types. The heat is both deeply relaxing and helps tight muscles release.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Fiction, is performed with the thumb and finger tips, palm of the hand, or heel of the hand. It consists of small circular movements varying in pressure. Stiff joints respond well to this technique. Both hands are always kept in contact with the body.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Tapotement, means percussion in French, it is performed using short, rapid, constantly moving strokes. They may resemble soft karate chops or pity pats like up-and-down movements using the Palm of the hands or sides of the hands. Range of motion, is a technique used to rotate a body part in a circular movement. First you grasp the joint above and below the joint, gently rocked and shake it back and forth, then up-and-down.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Next, rotate the joint in small circles. As resistance decreases, rotate in larger circles. Pressure point touch, may include pressure one acupuncture points, or special duty points. To activate them, a gentle finger pressure is use, usually the index finger.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Some of these points can be extremely sensitive to touch. If a person is very sensitive to these types of touch, then maybe you should try a different technique which would include the hot stone massage technique. The highest on technique is rapidly becoming very popular, it is a way that a sensitive person can did a great size without all the pressure areas been activated with touch.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Stop Your Stress from piling up and relieve your pain with a great Massage, and you can start with a Full Body Massage Or you May Want to Go With the Hot Stone Massage<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">which is more in the area of gently rubbing, but if you want the full deal the entire Spa treatment you should go with the Spa Massage and you will get the royal treatment.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Masseuse or massage therapists will be working with hot rocks or stones that are heated and maintain or keep the heat within the rock or stone. Then they masseuse or massage therapist would gently rubbed them in to nobody to activate the muscles to help relieve tension and stress. This has began very popular and will be seeing a lot more in the future so feel free to look into this more if you are interested in it.<br />

In Asia, spa has evolved into a concept focussing on the spiritual and natural, drawing from traditions of meditation, respect for nature and the desire to achieve physical and mental well being, the key to maintaining health and beauty.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.phuket.com/images/spa7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://www.phuket.com/images/spa7.jpg" border="0" src="http://www.phuket.com/images/spa7.jpg" /></a>In Thailand, the concept of spa blends with the ancient traditions of natural healing through herbal baths, massage, meditation, and the continued pursuit of inner and outer beauty. Before the arrival of modern medicine in Thailand, the temple was the the centre of learning for all disciplines, including medicine. Monks therefore played the role of doctor and pharmacist, prescribing herbal remedies, steam compresses, massages and other such treatments for the relief of various ailments.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">One can still try ancient massage therapy in its original form at certain temples such as Wat Po in Bangkok, where treatments are offered daily for a small fee. Most major hotels also offer traditional Thai massage as part of their health and fitness services, as do natural healing and spa centres where herbal steam bath and sauna treatments are derived from holistic therapies practiced for centuries.<br />

All these are held significant to provide visitors with utmost satisfaction. <br /> • <b>Sight</b> refers to the decoration styles and the surroundings of a spa, which differently affect human being's emotions. That is why most spas use pale hues to create a peaceful atmosphere. <br /><img style="width: 199px; height: 131px;" alt="http://www.agricultureinformation.com/mag/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/herbalmedicine.jpg" src="http://www.agricultureinformation.com/mag/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/herbalmedicine.jpg" /><img style="width: 115px; height: 144px;" alt="http://www.methodsofhealing.com/files/2008/07/herb.jpg" src="http://www.methodsofhealing.com/files/2008/07/herb.jpg" /><br /><br /> • <b>Taste</b> means flavours of foods or beverages which people like or dislike and can affect people's emotions, too.<br /> • <b>Smell</b> comes from essential oils anherbal treatments. Different oils yield different medicinal properties.<br /> • <b>Hearing</b> derives from relaxing instrumental music.<br /> • <b>Touch</b> is obtained by relaxing massages <b>*Special thanks to: </b><br /> • Khun Ubonrat Somprakit, Jasmine Spa<br /> • Ms Monica P.Orias, Mandara Spa<br /> • Jasmine Spa, The Siam Heritage, Andaman Seaview Hotel and Seaview Patong hotels for facilitating Thaiways to take photographs.<br /> • The Ministry of Public Health for allowing Thaiways to use photographs.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348579782657598761.post-71699900832858840872009-04-10T01:48:00.000-07:002009-12-29T00:19:03.443-08:00Why is it so beneficial ?<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.thaiwaysmagazine.com/thai_article/2119_spa_thailand/spa_thailand_08.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="148" src="http://www.thaiwaysmagazine.com/thai_article/2119_spa_thailand/spa_thailand_08.jpg" width="220" /></a><br />

According to Khun Ubonrat Somprakit, Managing Director of Jasmine Spa, the frequency to receive treatment depends on clients' purposes. Those who aim to lose weight, need to go under treatment every other day, while those who would like to recharge can do so every two weeks.<br />

Most clients are impressed by their smiles and tender attention. Ubonrat Somprakit, Managing Director of Jasmine Spa, revealed that many of her clients had revisited the spa because of the overall hospitable service. She added that the relaxing atmosphere and the expert therapists who are service-oriented are also the key factors.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><img style="width: 156px; height: 191px;" src="http://www.thaiwaysmagazine.com/thai_article/2119_spa_thailand/spa_thailand_07.jpg" /><img alt="The image “http://www.good4u.co.th/EN/p_franchise/j-spa.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors." src="http://www.good4u.co.th/EN/p_franchise/j-spa.jpg" /></div> As for the government, it has been doing its utmost in promoting Thai spas. For example, Thailand is scheduled to hold "ISPA Asia Pacific Conference & Exhibitions" in 2006, which, according to Watchara Phannachet, Deputy Minister of Industry, will be beneficial to the economy in general. Moreover, the government has provided training to personnel in the spa industry to enhance the standards of Thai spas. The Thai Spa Association and the Thai Spa Operators Association were set up to bring together all those involved in the local spa industry to steer Thai spas in the same direction.<br /> <br /> "Even though the number of spas has increased, it is delightful to learn that along with quantity has come quality", said Naphalai Areesorn, President of the Thai Spa Association. However, because of the intense competition, the trend of Thai spas will have to change. Monica P. Orias, PR Marketing and Sales Manager of Mandara Spa said that Mandara Spa is looking forward to developing spa programmes for the total well-being of mind, body and soul. This means that spa therapies have to be able to nourish the mind (by providing meditation programmes, for example) and to strengthen the physical body (by arranging workout programmes).<br /> <br /> Several day spas and hotel spas are scattered throughout Bangkok and other tourist destinations like Chiang Mai, Hua Hin, Pattaya, Samui and Phuket. If you wish to experience this comfortable indulgence, go for one at a spa near you.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348579782657598761.post-9680727107860010222009-04-10T01:30:00.000-07:002009-12-29T00:19:33.225-08:00Back ground of thai spa<div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.thaiwaysmagazine.com/thai_article/2119_spa_thailand/spa_thailand_16.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="193" src="http://www.thaiwaysmagazine.com/thai_article/2119_spa_thailand/spa_thailand_16.jpg" width="126" /></a>At the beginning, spas in Thailand were chiefly located in luxurious hotels. They were established around the year 1994 to meet the needs of foreign visitors at that time. The services gained popularity very soon. That's why new spas have sprung up like mushroom in cities and famous attractions. Many of them have developed with advanced techniques such as hydrotherapy and aromatherapy.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Since 2001, the concept of spas has been widely spread among the Thai urban populations because they have suffered from health problems caused by their rushing lifestyles and the polluted environment. And spa treatments have been found to be alternative ways to maintain their health balance.<br />

The name derives from the Belgian town "Spa", where a natural hot spring was open to the public to take a bath as a way of self healing. Because of its benefits, it became popular among health enthusiasts. Later, the meaning of spas changed to cover a relaxation in natural surroundings, using water as the main constituent, combining other natural therapeutic methods like massages and aromatherapy together with chemical-free ingredients.<br />
<br />
No trip to Thailand is completed until you have experienced a pampering Thai spa treatment . At present, Thai spas are very popular with travellers as is evidenced by the key findings of the Spa Industry Surveys & Spa Consumer Surveys conducted by Intelligent Spa, Singapore, which show the following statistical data.<br />

As Thailand has earned a reputation as the spa capital of Asia, we think it is interesting to learn some aspects of spas in ThailandUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348579782657598761.post-59223427758125866882009-04-10T01:17:00.000-07:002009-04-10T01:20:41.387-07:00Thai Foot Massage<p>Thai Foot Massage is a massage of the lower legs and feet that involves hands on stretching and massage to “open” Sen (energy) Lines, along with the use of a stick to stimulate the reflex points on the feet which correspond to the internal organs of the body. Thai Foot Massage stimulates these points to promote general health and well-being. </p> <p>A Treatment in Thai Foot Massage will usually last for one hour and the therapist may spend the last 10 minutes massaging the hands and sometimes the shoulders too.</p> <p>Thailand has evolved as a centre for massage, partly due to geographical location and partly to the peoples’ predisposition towards massage, with traditional techniques from India and China diverging in Thailand to give us Traditional Thai Massage and Thai Foot Massage.<br /><br />Thai Foot Massage takes it’s origins from China where the art has been practiced for over 5000 years, and Thai Foot Massage, as seen everywhere in Thailand today, has developed from Chinese, Japanese, and Korean foot masseuses.</p> <p>Traditional Thai Massage and Thai Foot Massage compliment each other beautifully. Thai Massage balances the elements of the mind and body, while Thai Foot Massage stimulates the internal organs, giving the receiver an holistic treatment.<br /><strong><br />The benefits of a Thai Foot Massage</strong></p><table style="border-collapse: collapse;" id="table6" border="0" width="91%"><tbody><tr><td colspan="5" align="center"><br /></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="center" width="31%"> <img src="http://www.orelax.com.au/images/foot_massage.jpg" border="0" height="195" width="187" /></td> <td style="width: 6%;" align="center"> </td> <td style="width: 53%;" align="center"> <img src="http://www.orelax.com.au/images/Pull_leg.jpg" border="0" height="200" width="198" /></td></tr></tbody></table> <ul><li>Improved circulation and toxin removal.</li><li>Stimulated lymphatic drainage and immune system boost.</li><li>Reduced stiffness and improved flexibility. </li><li>Accelerated physical healing </li><li>Stress relief </li><li>Improved sleep </li><li>Clarity of mind</li></ul>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348579782657598761.post-27887718515654752592009-03-29T22:58:00.001-07:002009-10-15T21:42:08.209-07:00How to Massage a Baby?Massage is very helpful for the healthy development of bones of your baby. It also strengthens the bonds between you and your baby. Pediatric research has shown that babies born prematurely make much quicker progress when given regular massage.<br /><br />The best time to massage your baby is just after his or her bath when he or she is not feeling hungry or irritable. Make sure the room is nice and warm and perhaps perfume it gently with a vaporizer and one of the relaxing aromatherapy oils.<br /><br />You will find it easiest to work sitting on the floor, legs outstretched with the baby lying on your legs. This means he or she is reassured by the warmth of your skin. Make sure you feel comfortable before you start and if necessary, prop yourself up with a couple of cushions.<br /><img alt="http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/5915/1000138080442778104350.jpg" src="http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/5915/1000138080442778104350.jpg" /><br />You need to remove any jewelry and warm your hands and the oil prior to massage. Use a blend of 4 fl oz (100 ml) of sweet almond oil to which you have added two drops of any of the following - camomile oil, rose oil, lavender oil, neroli oil. Now you are ready to begin.<br /><br />Baby massage step by step<br /><br />- Start with your baby lying against your legs on his or her back so he or she can look up at you.<br />- Stroke gently down his arms then his legs, repeating each movement five or six times.<br />- Circle round his tummy using the flat of your hand in an anti clockwise direction (this is very calming),<br />- Stretch out his toes one by one then gently rub over the soles of his feet using your thumb.<br />- Uncurl his fingers then gently move each one clockwise then anti clockwise. Now rub over the palms of his hands with your thumb.<br /><br />Turn your baby over to lie on his tummy against your legs.<br /><br />- Gently rub a little oil into his back, bottom, legs and feet using long light strokes.<br />- Stroke down his back giving a little squeeze at the buttocks. Repeat five or six times.<br />- Gently stroke round his shoulders down his arms and off at his hands.<br />- Gently stroke down his legs several times. Each time finish by giving his legs a little stretch by pulling gently at the ankles.<br />- Finish by stroking gently down his back and legs in one movement. Repeat, getting lighter with each stroke, until your hand just glides over your baby without actually touching him.<br /><br />Gently turn your baby on to his back so he can see you again.<br /><br />- Gently stroke a little oil (the surplus on your hands should be enough) on to his face. Lightly stroke up his forehead several times.<br />- With your thumbs stroke across his cheeks then down his nose and chin. Do each movement several times.<br />- Gently squeeze and rub his ear lobes between your fingers and thumb.<br />- Finish off with a connecting stroke. With one hand cradling your baby's head, stroke gently down his body with the other and bring it to rest on top of his feet. Hold this position (one hand on the head, the other on the feet) for a count of ten. Gently release and lift off your hands.<br /><br />Disclaimer: This article is not meant to provide health advice and is for general information only. From primitive sweat lodges to more modern and sophisticated steam saunas, people have always relied on the healing power of the sauna. The innovative invention of the infrared sauna now allows users to experience even more health benefits. Infrared heat therapy is valuable for maintaining good overall physical and mental health.<br />
<br />
Unlike conventional steam saunas that rely on hot air to transfer heat, infrared saunas directly heat up their objects. This means that even though you're getting the benefit of all the warming action of a sauna, you don't have to feel like you're roasting to death in a humid, sticky room. The air in a traditional sauna can reach temperatures of up to 220 degrees F, while infrared saunas usually operate at air temperatures of 100 to 130 degrees F. Your body absorbs high-efficiency infrared heat better, meaning that you reap more of the healing benefits of sauna therapy while staying comfortable at the same time.<br />
<br />
Infrared saunas are particularly effective at soothing aching muscles and joints. Whether your sore shoulder is the result of a strenuous game of tennis, an old injury, or a chronic condition like arthritis, sauna therapy can help to relax the tense muscles and joints. Even rheumatism and myalgia are suggested to improve with regular sauna therapy. Serious athletes as well as those with high-stress jobs and lives will appreciate the deep relaxation properties of infrared sauna therapy.<br />

<br />
Stress relief is a natural side effect of infrared sauna use. The very act of scheduling a regular break every day to meditate or visit with friends in a sauna is rejuvenating. When you do it in tandem with infrared sauna, the stress relieving benefits become even more pronounced. The invisible heat waves promote blood flow, soothe knotted muscles, and refresh the mind.<br />
<br />
Sauna use also encourages healthy blood circulation, so infrared sauna therapy can be particularly beneficial to people with high blood pressure or heart disease. Physicians all agree that healthy circulation decreases the risk for developing all kinds of illnesses and medical conditions. Good circulation also speeds up the body's natural healing processes, promotes good cardiovascular health, and lessens the likelihood of becoming overweight.<br />
<br />
Detoxification properties of saunas are well known. But the detoxification potential of an infrared sauna is three times that of a traditional sauna. The infrared light is absorbed deeper into our bodies than traditional steam sauna heat, so the detoxification effect of infrared saunas is much more thorough. Studies suggest that infrared-induced perspiration actually contains more noxious substances and chemicals like lead, copper, nickel, and sodium than regular perspiration does.<br />
<br />
Enhanced immune system function is another benefit of infrared therapy. Infrared heat penetrates the skin and warms the body, raising the core temperature of the body. This tricks the body into thinking it is using a fever to fight off infection, kicking the immune system into action. This can curtail all kinds of minor bacterial and viral infections, as the immune system is already working hard and can fight off problems before they occur. It is suggested that infrared therapy can even help people with their allergies.<br />
<br />
Infrared saunas can manage specific medical conditions and promote general health and well-being. It's hard to believe that relaxing in a comfortably warm sauna while meditating, reading, or listening to your favorite music can be called therapy.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348579782657598761.post-11827725810383843322009-03-29T22:49:00.000-07:002009-03-29T22:50:00.334-07:00How To Give Good Massage: Stress Free MethodsBeing able to give great massage can grant you the key to your romantic relationship. Here are some methods to do this properly.<br /><br />Put your lover with the stomach against the bed; make sure that you have a large bed, so you can move around your lover's body. Straddle your partner's back, or apply the massage from one side, which method works best for you two.<br /><br />Any good back massage begins with a proper warm up. Only after completing this stage, you can begin the deeper massage stage. Here is how you do a good warm up massage. First, you must use circular motions on the sides of the spine; do this with your fingertips. The largest group of muscles are placed on these sides and, when they are tensioned, they are filled with knots that will need massage to be de-tensioned. The spinal muscles must be warm up well, and then you can continue with the shoulders. Pay extra attention to the shoulder blades and the neck.<br /><br />With the muscles all warmed up, you can begin the massage. Use always the pads of the thumbs to rub gently the skin on the back. Now you can apply more pressure than how you did when you prepared the muscles. Remember to ask your lover how they feel and where they feel extra tension in the muscles, so you can know where to insist more with your movements.<br /><br />Follow the same path as you did with the warm up: the spinal muscles are first, then the shoulder blades and the muscles between the spines of the blades and the backbone.<br /><br />Here is how you need to do when it comes to knots that do not want to give up right away. Rub your thumbs in circles on top of the knot. Be careful not to press too hard, as too much can hurt your lover and that will not score too well for a good massage. Increase the pressure in time to obtain the best results.<br /><br />Return to the warm up mode and knead the muscles on the sides of the spine. Use a movement resembling that of a wave reaching a shore to do that. All this part is intended to make the effect of the massage last longer, even after you finished with the massage.<br /><br />The final part is the warm down. Decrease the pressure of your movements while touching your lover's back, until your touch becomes feather like.<br /><br />There are just some simple rules that you need to remember if you want to apply a good massage. One is to begin with gentle strokes and increase the pressure, little by little. Another is to use the pads of your fingers when you apply the massage and always remember about warm up and warm down.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348579782657598761.post-19811326095514359822009-03-29T22:47:00.000-07:002010-02-02T17:30:50.210-08:00Body Massage for Relaxation, Health Improvement and Sensual Pleasure<div style="text-align: justify;">By massaging your friend or living partner and let him or her do the same to you, you will both get emotionally closer to each other, and both get several health benefits. Massaging will benefit the mental state of the person you work on, the muscular condition, the blood circulation and the lymph drainage. However, what you want to achieve, will determine the exact technique you use.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>MASSAGING ACROSS THE MUSCLE FIBRES</b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">This type of massage is very good for relaxing tense muscles and a stressed mind.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">You perform this massage by rubbing or gripping across the direction of the muscle fibres or across tendons. You take one area after the other. You begin by massaging each area lightly, superficially and slowly to warm up, and then proceed by massaging deeper, firmer and more swiftly.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">According to the size and conditions of the area you treat, you can use different types of manipulation. You can use a couple of fingers at a small area, or to reach deep into a tense point. You can rub with all your finger tips or with the palm of your hand at greater areas. To get a harder effect, you can use your finger knuckles.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><br />
</b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>MASSAGE ALONG THE MUSCLE FIBRES</b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">This type of massage will give the following effects: Stiffness will be reduced or cured, and the muscles will gain in mobility. The muscles will get better blood supply and drainage. The muscles will get a better drainage of tissue fluids into the lymph system, and thereby swollen muscles will normalize. These effects will in turn make tired muscles faster regain good condition.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">By this massage you stroke along the direction of the muscle fibres, and always in the direction of the blood stream towards the heart.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Also now you take one area after the other, but try to reach the whole length of a muscle or muscle group at each stroke. Also by this massage, you begin massaging at each area lightly, superficially and slowly to warm up, and then proceed by massaging deeper, firmer and somewhat faster.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Also by this longitudinal massage, you can press down and stroke with your finger tips, with all your fingers, or grip around a muscle or muscle group with your fingers.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>MASSAGE WITH AN ELECTRIC MASSAGER</b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Most electric massage devices are vibrating up and down. This vibration mostly gives the same effect as the massage across the muscle fibres. If you also stroke with the device head along the muscle in the direction of the blood stream towards the heart, you will simultaneously also achieve the effects of longitudinal massage.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>COMBINING THE MASSAGE WITH STRETCHING</b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">The effects of the massage can be increased by also stretching the limbs and body parts of the person you work on. Stretch in the natural movement directions of the limb or body part until you reach some resistance. Do not stretch hard to go beyond the resistance point. However, by holding the limb some time at the resistance point will often cause the limb to relax, and then you can go some way further.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>HOW HARD SHOULD YOU PERFORM THE MASSAGE?</b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Tired and stiff muscles are often tender and aching. Working at a tender point will always cause some temporal pain. However, if you use the right degree of firmness, the effect of the massage should cause an immediate release of pain and tenderness when you have finished working at a point. You should never work so hard that the pain is felt nearly unbearable, or so hard that pain remains after the massage is finished. If you do so, you can hurt or aggravate already existing tissue damage.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">To achieve the right firmness you should monitor the reactions of the person you work at and listen to his comments. You should also never perform a massage on an area with a distinct inflammation or a distinct injury.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>USE OF MASSAGE OILS</b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">By applying a massage oil or ointment at the area you work at, you ease the massage work and increase the effects of the massage. Your fingers glide more easily upon the skin covering the area. The blood supply of the skin and muscles will be stimulated. You get a sensual and exciting scent on the area and in the air. Ingredients in the oil will ameliorate muscular ache and pain. According to the composition of the massage oil, there will be various stimulating effects upon the muscles, for example faster regeneration of tired or hurt muscle tissue.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>MASSAGING FOR MUTUAL JOY AND PLEASURE</b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">You can use each of the two main techniques, but you let the pleasure of the person you massage decide the technique, the area you massage and the firmness of the massage. Usually gently touching and caressing will be the right manner.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Also your own pleasure shall decide. Do not work so hard that you get tired out yourself, and the person that you give the massage should be willing to repay you by doing the same favour to you.</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348579782657598761.post-82400685080633190802009-03-17T23:50:00.001-07:002009-03-17T23:50:50.328-07:00Pregnancy Massage<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dKspPUYYd6k&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dKspPUYYd6k&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348579782657598761.post-60761707130681419372009-03-17T23:47:00.001-07:002009-03-17T23:47:43.068-07:00The most relaxing message ever<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/LXKNf0PQ7ro&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/LXKNf0PQ7ro&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348579782657598761.post-4027369844950729502009-03-17T23:44:00.000-07:002009-03-17T23:45:14.649-07:00Thai Clay Thai Massage<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/GuaLRZsV94I&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/GuaLRZsV94I&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348579782657598761.post-26312337912124466072009-03-17T23:43:00.001-07:002009-03-17T23:43:59.093-07:00Aroma Thai Foot Massage<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Cuw-bhPkRJ4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Cuw-bhPkRJ4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1348579782657598761.post-21239359469825586162009-03-17T23:40:00.000-07:002010-02-02T17:25:37.519-08:00Ancien Thai Body Massage<h1><object height="344" width="425"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/FCRfXzdPfUU&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/FCRfXzdPfUU&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object><br />
</h1>I've been going to this place with my friend since last yr and it is great!! Every time I go I love the massage. The price is fair ($40 for 1hr) and the massage is excellent especially if you're stressed. The massage they offer can be done soft, medium, and hard. My friend and I had the med.( which can hurt a little if you're not used to it). The facility is a little small but clean (not the type of place that offers a happy ending if you know what I mean). The staff are nice and courteous, you can walk-in no appt. necesary.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
